Biden Doesn’t Deserve to Speak at Morehouse College
“Allowing him to speak will be hypocrisy at its finest.”
Joe Biden was invited by Morehouse College to be the commencement speaker for its May 19th, 2024 graduation ceremony. Morehouse students and alumni have expressed vehement disapproval at the decision to let him speak.
Their reasoning?
Joe Biden is seen as supporting the war on innocent Palestinians evidenced by his recent authorization of a new spending bill that gives more than 15 billion dollars to Israel to continue their destruction and murder. Students and Alumni also see Biden as visiting Morehouse to prop up his chances of getting re-elected as president in this year’s critical election.
Georgia is considered a battle ground state with 16 electoral delegates at stake. In the 2020 election against Trump, Biden barely managed a win with just over 11,000 votes, a margin of .23%. This year, like every election year, democrats are going to areas heavily populated by Black people in order to convince them that they have their best interest in mind. Biden is no different.
