Construction Worker Tells Complete Strangers He Loves Them
“It’s my impression that we just don’t hear the words, ‘I love you’, enough.”
I live in a mildly populated area of Georgia about 30 minutes outside of the city. The county I reside in decided to approve a huge $27 million construction project to pave various roads throughout the area.
The trucks, tractors, and other construction vehicles began rolling in about four days ago. Before any residents were made aware, a transformers-like armada of colossal street-demolishing machines had taken up space and parked, scattered throughout the neighborhood.
As you might imagine, for about four days now, leaving and entering my neighborhood has been hell as the construction crew, their humongous machines violently penetrating, grating, and shaking the ground has drilled into and uplifted the earth on my street. This has caused large portions of the pavement to be uneven and treacherous to navigate for the residents’ vehicles.
Inconvenience is being told by strangers that you aren’t allowed to go into your own home even though you are paying rent. Yesterday, the construction crew busted a major gas line running underground through the neighborhood while they were paving and no one was allowed to enter or exit my street for about 8…
