This is the Key to Black Wealth
“We have to wake up and realize that the way to lasting wealth is through family.”
It pains me to write this but, as it stands now, Black people in America will always be poor and impoverished. We likely will never achieve the high degree of wealth and prosperity that many white families have traditionally enjoyed.
This is because, for numerous reasons (most not directly attributable to us), Black people cannot come together and sustain families. The problem is rooted in centuries of brutal slavery and oppression. However, today, the simple fact is that without a solid family structure to build wealth and keep it, Black people will forever be on the lowest economic rung of society.
I don’t care that, historically, white people have built the world according to their own standards and have imposed brutality and atrocity on people of African descent. I don’t care that our ancestors fought to get those of us alive now to a place where we can obtain education and make money. Though true, neither of these statements speaks to my point.
For one, white people are no different than any group of people who seek to place themselves at the top of a hierarchy. The need for survival resources has necessitated the use of conflict at least since the beginning of recorded…
