With the advent of ChatGPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer), many writing professionals are wondering if they are witnessing the beginning of their extinction.

Created by OpenAI, Chat GPT hit the web in November of 2022 and is basically an ultra-smart AI language modeling technology that features an insanely intelligent chatbot capable of generating highly accurate and, more often than not, useful answers to questions and prompts humans supply it with. The content output implications are limitless.

AI Writing versus Human Writing

If you’ve been paying attention, you’ll know that ChatGPT is capable of instantly spawning massive amounts of coherent text in just seconds for anything from legal contracts and company advertisements to college essays. The crazy part? The AI often passes muster. Humans are regularly unable to tell that AI creates what they see. That said, this technology is not human and so lacks the personality and spirit of human beings.
