Do we really understand what is going on in our world right now? It appears that everywhere we turn, everywhere we look, turmoil is boundless. There is also unimaginable good, to be sure. It’s just that our media has an epic tendency to only ever display negative stories.
Regularly, within our nation’s great governing halls, an abundance of political parleying and squabbling transpire between our most distinguished Ivy-league nut bags on all sides of the political spectrum. Yet, we are no closer to resolving our social ills.
The Lesson Is Depression
For ages, man has been on a quest to lift his position in the world. He has invented a host of extraordinary technologies to ease his lot, however he is now more depressed than ever.
It is now 2019, June. By next year, the leading cause of death is slated to be depression. And this is supposedly caused by our allegiance to our phones??
We somehow feel anxious and directionless whenever disconnected from the web for long periods of time; as if the world were passing us by.
How do we cope with this desire to be always abreast of current events, and at the same time, centered within ourselves? Meditation? Well, meditation won’t exactly solve the problem…
