Find Your Mission

When you’re truly dedicated to something, you’ll possess the desire to produce, improve, and exceed your abilities in the chosen realm.

Ever tell yourself you really want to do something, and after some time doing it, realize that you no longer wish to do it? Do you now force yourself to soldier on in your efforts until you reach success? Or do you “give up” and allow yourself to find something else which might better suit you? This will most likely depend on your personal goals and where you see yourself in the future.

Some need time to figure out what kind of work they are best suited for. If you’ve given this any thought, and want to derive the most enjoyment from your labor and money-making ventures long term, you’ll need to take time and explore your proclivities and interests. This is how we find work we are drawn to do. Be curious. This is the key to a satisfying existence.

My contention is that in order to satisfy financial obligations, we subject ourselves to demoralizing and ultimately unfulfilling careers before asking ourselves what work might better suit us. Why?

The answer is simple. We develop a paralyzing aversion towards fully engaging a new path once we have already gone far in one direction.
