“Your Mood is Linked to Your Food”
Our minds and bodies are greatly affected by the foods we consume. If you find yourself depressed or unmotivated to pursue goals and ideas that normally inspire you, consider what you are eating. Typically, my energy is high and I have an excitement for life.
Particularly in the mornings, my energy is at its peak and is sustained at this level throughout the day. If I consume foods that aren’t optimal for my body, then I suffer from low energy, tiredness, and a general feeling of malaise. It is during these times when I begin to entertain negative thoughts about life.
“But Kalin, you mainly eat vegetables and non processed foods”, some of you may be saying. Well here’s the thing. Whole foods can still be poisonous to your system if they aren’t processed well by your body.
White potatoes, for example, aren’t good for me. I can tell by how they make me feel after I eat them. I become bloated and take on a heavy feeling in my system. Sweet potatoes, on the other hand, are marvelous for me as they give me energy and don’t slow me down.
When I eat oranges, my body shuts down and I feel tired. However, oranges are good for some people. My blood type is associated with a high stomach acid content and so high acid producing fruits aren’t good for me. I discovered that bananas are wonderful for me. In the same vein…
